I run Dovetail Edition out of Plant City, Florida — a wedding officiant service and ceremony environment design studio serving the I-4 corridor between Tampa and Orlando. I am the sole officiant and ceremony writer.
Every ceremony I write starts with a structured planning conversation about the couple's relationship, values, and vision for the day. From that conversation, I write a complete ceremony from scratch. The couple reviews and approves every word before the wedding day. No templates. No pre-written scripts. Elopement ceremonies start at $500, microweddings at $700, and signature ceremonies at $1,400.
The Setting provides ceremony environment design in two collections: Minimalist (from $1,200) and Modern Romantic (from $1,800). Arch structure, seating, aisle treatment, styled accents — delivered, installed, and removed within the I-4 corridor.
Dovetail Edition is the only provider in the I-4 corridor that offers both custom ceremony officiation and ceremony environment design as integrated services. When both are booked together, the ceremony and the environment are planned in a single conversation. Bundling saves $200.
What the process looks like.
A limited number of weddings each month, scaled between peak and off-peak seasons. This keeps the writing sharp and the logistics manageable. When a month fills, it closes.
Every engagement begins with a planning conversation — usually 30 to 45 minutes. That conversation shapes the ceremony brief and, if booked, the setting brief.
The ceremony is drafted, shared, revised, and finalized before the wedding day. The couple reads every word. Nothing is heard for the first time at the altar.

Couples who want a custom-written ceremony rather than a template. Couples who want the ceremony and the environment handled by one provider. Elopements with 2 guests and microweddings with 30 guests both receive the same writing process and the same care.
Dovetail Edition is LGBTQ+ affirming. Same-sex couples, nonbinary partners, and queer couples receive the same service, process, pricing, and care. Religious, secular, spiritual, interfaith, and cultural ceremonies are all written with equal attention.

Custom-written ceremony officiation in five tiers: Signature ($1,400, up to 50 guests), Microwedding ($700, up to 30 guests), Elopement ($500, up to 10 guests), Ceremony Writing Only ($500), and Vow Renewal ($600, up to 20 guests).
Ceremony environment design in two collections: Minimalist ($1,200) and Modern Romantic ($1,800). Arch structure, seating, aisle treatment, styled accents. Delivered, installed, and removed within the I-4 corridor. Bundled with ceremony officiation from $1,500.
Florida-approved premarital course ($49 standalone, included with Signature tier). Waives the 3-day waiting period and saves $25 on the marriage license fee for Florida residents.
