Website use.
This website is operated by Dovetail Edition, based in Plant City, Florida. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
All content on this site — text, images, design, and structure — is the property of Dovetail Edition unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any content without written permission.
Inquiry.
Submitting an inquiry through this website does not create a contract, booking, or obligation on either side. An inquiry is the beginning of a conversation. No services are confirmed until a formal booking agreement is signed and a retainer is received.
Information submitted through the inquiry form is used solely to respond to your request and to determine whether availability and fit exist. It is not shared with third parties, sold, or used for marketing beyond a direct response to your inquiry.
Service scope.
Dovetail Edition provides two services: wedding officiant services (The Ceremony) and ceremony environment design (The Setting). The specific scope of each engagement is defined in the booking agreement signed by both parties.
Officiant services include a planning conversation, a ceremony written from scratch, delivery of the ceremony, and signing and return of the marriage license. The officiant does not serve as a wedding coordinator, legal advisor, or event planner.
The Setting services include consultation, design, delivery, installation, and removal of ceremony environment elements as defined in the booking agreement. Elements remain the property of Dovetail Edition unless otherwise specified.
Bookings and cancellation.
A booking is confirmed when a signed agreement and retainer are received. The retainer secures the date and is non-refundable. Specific cancellation terms, rescheduling policies, and payment schedules are outlined in each booking agreement.
If Dovetail Edition must cancel a confirmed booking due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond reasonable control, the retainer will be refunded in full. Dovetail Edition will make reasonable efforts to recommend an alternative officiant or provider in such cases, but is not obligated to do so.
Ordination and legal authority.
The officiant at Dovetail Edition is legally authorized to perform marriage ceremonies in the State of Florida. This authority is maintained through ordination and through registration as a Florida Commissioned Notary Public. The officiant is responsible for signing the marriage license at the conclusion of the ceremony. The couple is responsible for obtaining the marriage license before the ceremony and for filing the signed license with the appropriate county clerk's office after the ceremony.
Limitation of liability.
Dovetail Edition is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or from services provided. Total liability for any claim related to services shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.
Dovetail Edition is not responsible for delays or failures caused by weather, venue issues, vendor conflicts, or other circumstances outside reasonable control. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to adapt or reschedule, but no guarantees are made.
